The mischief has begun.. BonBon takes Truffles to explore the spare room, whilst Tilly aka Munchkin battles hard to become brave enough to join them. She is better than she was, she now comes out of the house and spends time on the roof of it :))
Big achievement for her tonight, she felt comfortable enough to sit on my shoulder and actually relax. She even rested her head on my thumb whilst I watched Tv, and dozed off.
She's exploring her environment and popcorning everywhere. I've a feeling she's one of those guinea pigs, who take time to make a connection, and when they do, it's a strong bond.
She's already bonded closely with BonBon, they're always together, sleeping in the house. BonBon is very tolerant of her, unlike Truffles, who tends to get left out.
The three of them get on famously when out having floor time, BonBon takes the lead, bouncing like a ping pong ball machine around the tunnels that are laid out for them to explore..

Truffles is huge! her hair gets funkier by the day. She tends to pull at the fluff on my dressing down and jumpers. Occasionally she gets my skin.. Ouch! I know she doesn't realize the difference.

BonBon seems to be the Boss these days, Truffles has accepted that, and no longer challenges her. BonBon is happy, and running around trying to keep up with the youngsters, doing a good job I must say! She's pretty mad with the popcorning :))

Aww so pleased for you and all the other people on this forum who have taken the time to get them out of there shell ! x :)

Thanks guys :) Tilly has been the hardest little Piggy I've had in years, she's been very timid, nervous, and anxious. She still shoots into the house when I approach the cage, but she doesn't panic when picked up or squirm (unlike Truffles who loves lap time but hates being initially collected sometimes).
She reminds me of Liquorice when she was a baby piggy, she used to go into blind panics and you'd get no warning that she was about to leave your lap and be half way across the front room before you've blinked. Anything could set her off, even a door slam.. She did get better though, it wasn't until she was 18 months before her confidence allowed her to stop doing it, and she actually became very tame surprisingly.
If I go through the videos of Tilly from over the last 4 weeks, you can actually see the transition. I've got the used to being filmed by the camera, it's a surface tablet, which has it's own stand, doesn't take up much room at all, and great for filming at floor level. Only thing is, it's photographs are a bit grainy, and the video isn't perfect, but hey ho, you can't beat it for being able to just leave it with them for five minutes!
The bits where they disappear behind it, are when they are busy nibbling my feet :)) Tilly is now brave enough to join them doing it :)) BonBon loves feet! (Actually I had hold of Biscuit the Boar earlier and they were all very intrigued by the smell on my trousers :)) )
Tilly is still struggling to be brave enough to sit out with the other two at veg time, but I say she'll probably be joining them properly very soon. :)
