My dear friendly old boar, George and his companion Sonny have found a new home and will be travelling on Boxing Day.
George was rescued this summer having lived in a 4ft hutch for 4 years without having ever been taken out, even to clean the hutch. He was filthy dirty with poo and grease from neck to bum, had mites, over grown claws and was very underweight. The owners cared for the 2 sows that lived above him but told me George was viscious.
I brought George round to 'normal' guinea pig living and for the first time in his life he experienced grass and a companion. He lives happily with young Sonny. I paired him with Sonny when he was just 4 weeks old.
Viscious my a***! George is the most kind, gentle cuddly gp we have had through our doors this year.
I've tried so hard to find him a home but he was always overlooked as he looks old and worn, with sunken hips.
Good News Good News.... A dear elderly lady whose rabbit died last summer has offered to re-home them both. They will have a large heated wooden wendy house to live in with a 6ft x 4ft run to play in on the warmer days.
I personally couldn't ask for a better Christmas present. It's made my year finding him a new home where he will be spoilt rotten in his last year or so.
Thanks for listening.
