Viennese Furbabies
Paw Holder
Today was supposed to be a quiet Sunday. It started nice enough. Sleeping late, no morning rush, piggies enjoying their breakfast.
But when I brought their cucumber at the end of morning free roaming, I only found Pino, Kylie and Cherry. There was no trace of Chinchi.
After giving the cucumber to Pino, Kylie and Cherry, I started to look for the missing baby. No Chinchi under the sofas, no Chinchi behind the curtains. I briefly wondered if she could have left the living room. But before starting a big search of the flat, I had to make sure that she wasn't still in the living room.
And then I found her. She was under the bookshelf next to the window and didn't move at all, just sat there in the last corner, completely frozen.
I tried to coax her out, I tried to get my arm under the shelf to get to her. But there isn't much space.
Piglets fit under the shelf but bigger piggies don't.
Somehow Chinchi managed to squeeze herself under the shelf but obviously couldn't get out again.
Now was time for a short panic.
Then I started to take ALL of the books out of the shelf and asked my mum to come around. Luckily, she doesn't live far away.
Once the shelf was empty, we could tilt the shelf a bit to rescue Chinchi.
She was unharmed but still in a freeze.
And I had to put everything back into the shelf.
What a morning!
