Although chunky monkey Casran Nugget loves being stroked in his cage, races to the bars for veggies and loves a good natter with me - reaching up to my face when I talk to him, he's very nervous on my lap (unlike Jemima who stretches out and nods off immediately).
Then I remembered how the woolly-blanket-leg-hammock technique (can explain more) used to really comfort Marmalade when he first came to me and was really stressed.
I tried it on Casran and he really settled (sorry about poor picture quality):
