The Book of Tuck

Gorgeous boy with such unusual markings.
The only thing I would say is it is probably best not to have him loose near your cat.
No matter how friendly they seem, there is no benefit to either animal in interacting, and all it takes is one playful swipe from your cat to seriously injure Tuck.

Thanks for your concern @Swissgreys! This was Salem, my mother's cat, who's a placid puss. I've moved out since so Tuck is in no danger of felines nor would I put him near one. This was an old one-off picture and I agree about cats completely. Thanks for speaking up though!

He’s gorgeous. Is Tuck a lone pig? They’re really not meant to live alone. If he has a friend then my bad. If not, he really needs companionship of his own kind.

Thanks @Siikibam! Tuck is a lone piggie due to odd circumstances. I understand the importance of companionship with guinea pigs, and I'll see if there's anything I can do to unite him with a friend, but he was notorious for being a bit of a loner when I took him in. I'm unsure how he'll take to it and it's been a long concern. I've had some guides linked by another user, so thanks for your concern.

I think the issue is that sometimes ‘pet shops’ (don’t know if that’s where you got him from btw, not meaning to imply anything) ‘sell’ piggies saying they are aggressive or don’t get on with other piggies. It’s sometimes because they haven’t found the right friend yet. I think it may be the case for Tuck. It may be who he was with before wasn’t quite the right partner for him. I would seriously consider it. You’d be surprised how much their character develops when they have someone of their kind to play with.

PS he’s very cute. Pity you’re too far away for a pignapping 😉
