Hi! I have a rambunctious little female guinea pig (Hopefully getting another soon) and she LOVES to popcorn. I mean I'ts pretty intense. She will do flips and stuff, and ti's super entertaining to watch; BUT every time she does it, she somehow manages to knock over her bowl of food. I hide it in a corner as safe as I can so that she doesn't knock it over, but it still happens. We don't have enough money to buy any fancy bowls (because we are saving for another GP and supplies to build a larger C&C cage).
Please tell me if you have any suggestions!
Thanks!

The StayBowls don't tip, they look fab but haven't got one yet. Heavy ceramic bowls are good too which I have got. Beco bowls don't tip either (got also). They're not too expensive :)

Young ones have too much energy right? :))

I'm the only stockist of STAYbowls in the UK, and I use them for my nine pigs. So far all of the feedback I've received has been very positive, with customers not only very pleased that the bowls are no longer being tipped ( so they're saving money on less food wastage) but they are also able to feed the correct amount of food ( they were all - without exception - overfeeding their pigs!) The STAYbowls were sold out in the Snoozie's Cozies shop, but I've just had another delivery from the USA. They now come in four colours ( blue, lime green, fuschia pink and lilac) so I have many customers who have bought several different colours which they match to their accessories. If you'd like to order, you'll find them at www.snooziescozies.co.uk/shop

We have an anti-tip small dog bowl. Our piggy likes to sit with his front paws on the edge and eat from there. You don't have to fill it all the way up ....

I completely agree that you don't have to fill the bowl up ( I have always measured the food that my pigs have regardless of which bowls they had in the past, so never filled the bowls fully) but most people don't bother. They just fill the bowl up, and refill it again when it's empty. The STAYbowls are exactly the right size to hold enough food for two pigs for one day, so it's impossible to overfeed :-)

I use ceramic pet dishes, they were not very expensive. Price is comparable to under $5 each.

I use two ceramic kidney shaped reptile bowls. They are the perfect size and shape for them to share from as when you put two bowls down naturally they will share the same bowl instead of eating from a bowl each :hb:

I scatter feed my sows food. They have a ceramic rabbit dish for their water with a bottle for back up.

The staybowls are fab,ive saved no end of money.no tipping bowls over,no waste as correct amount given.ive five small bowls, and two 3/4 cup bowls. It pays for itself after a while,as no tipping not eaten pellets away.Dishwasher safe, plastic so breakage, easy storage as all stack together.highly recommend them.x

image.webp I have a heavy ceramic bowl. It's a dog bowl. In fact, I use two of them. One for pellets and one for their veggies in the morning.

The veggie bowl doesn't go in the cage because I scatter feed.

You can se it in the pic. It has squares on the side

I use ceramic dishes and don't have any problem with them being tipped over.
