Toby and barney were in the kitchen helping me chop their breakfast this morning. Sophie (my hooman baby) was in her playmat the floor in the lounge (can see her from kitchen). She started to cry and the boys started to get quite agitated and stressed but instead of hiding they ran over to Sophie and started sniffing at her. Even when her little feet made contact they still stayed with her. It really was as if they knew she was upset and wanted to make sure she was ok. :luv: They only left her once I put their breakfast out (priorities) :D

Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have a different interpretation?

Oh my, that's really adorable.
It's not exactly like that, but it reminded me something. Teddy was always really skittish, but everytime I went next to his cage with my niece on my arms (I did it everytime she came home, so he could get used to her), from the very first time, he came close and sniffed in the direction she was. And it amazed me.
