ok today Sarsyfluff and I did a battered old hutch up and now Sophie the bunny is outdoors in it,i really wanted her to be a house bunny but the girl piggies we got yest now take that space up for now ;D
anyway thankfully shes trained to poo in her own special toilet etc so ill be less worried than usual about flystrike ( which freaks me out as we've lost bunnies to that before)

Having lots of bunnies i have learned a thing or two about fly strike....Firstly if you go to the pet shop, you can buy Fly Free spray that kills maggots and their eggs once they are layed on your rabbit. It's pretty simple, just spray it on every 1-2 weeks and you should have a maggot free summer. There is some stuff called Rear Guard, which the vets put on that last for about 3 months, and it's not too expensive!

And if you get an old net curtain and put it over the hutch..air can get in, but flies can't!

Hope it helps a bit Shaz...

Did you do a before and after picture of the hutch? would love to see the finished picture ;)

aww hell nope i didnt, you can check our dustbin for the bits i whacked off of it though,it was rotten on the top as the wood hadnt been treated ::)

Bet you did a grand old job of it ;) I love doing before and after pictures only trouble is I forget to do the before picture 98)

Another tip - try spraying th hutch with a citronella sloution when you clean out - something like "Dynamite" - helps deter flies too andits cheap and easy :)

LOL glue? Glad I'm not helping, i wouldn't want to be anywhere near you while your flailing a sledge hammer around haha ;)

god knows what theyve been put down with, its like crazy paving only worse, the neighbour said at least if theres an earthquake those slabs will never crack LMAO
its like an inch at a time coming up though and really p**sing me off >:( >:(

ok thats it,I'm officially knackered

ive smacked all the slabs & concrete up in an area about 10' x 8' where the grass is gonna go,and had a huge changed around in the shed, ive also seen a better shed in Focus this morning ,a 7x7 for £229 :o :o so i might go for that,i prefer a 10 x 8 but the hubby wont let me :(

even though we have the room :'( :'(

I'm gonna go die now in a corner

thats a shame, hopefully he will change his mind
