ELORA

Just a note to let you know that we buried Elora this morning. She is resting peacefully in a layered box of meadow hay to munch on over the bridge.

Before we buried her Emily said her goodbye with a long stroke of her lovely fur. She will be greatly missed. 8... 8... 8...

I'm so sorry about the passing of sweet Elora. RIP beautiful, sweet, amazing little princess. Sleep tight. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Just feeding them all and Leia and Lyra are tweeting like birds! Perhaps they smelt the box we kept her in as Peter has thrown that away. Girls seem ok and gotten used to it now but the boys are very quiet, they know something isn't right.

I think guineas are far cleverer than we think! :)

Guinea Pigs are amazingly clever, they'll know they're missing sweet, little Elora. They're singing her a song to wish her well on her way upstairs to play with Cuzzy. xxxxxx

They never cease to amaze. They deserve more credit from those that don't understand.

them has bought some flowers and has put them on her little grave. She's ok about it, she knows she is with Cuzzy now 'making babies!' haha! Very sad but kids make you laugh! :)

It is so sad :(
All of mine were quiet and subdued for a few days after Lennie passed-they definately knew even though he lived alone. Ffi chirruped as he took his last breath too....fascinating little creatures.

Bless them. You get paronid as they aren't behaving the same that they are unwell. Twinkle especially is not himself but I've watched him eat they all just look fed up.

Lovely to hear the singing again I darenot open the door to see who it was I just listened from outside. :)

So sorry to hear of your loss, R.I.P sweet little Elora.
May you watch over your family from rainbow bridge that miss and love you so very much

xx

Sorry for the loss of Elora
I love it when mine sing sometimes i'm sure they are singing to their friends that have gone over the bridge x

Treasure the sweet memories she's left you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
They're all so individual and always get into our hearts as you know so well xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>
Thanks for sharing so much of her life and passing with us all it's bought back some memories for me and i know just how you're feeling HUGS for you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Aw, RIP little Elora. I am sure she wll be playing with Cuzzy.
Guineapiogs are amazing - they are so clever and they know when something isn't right or one of them has gone.

Hope you are all OK, big hugs and my pigs send their kisses,

Katie x

Thanks Katie. The herd are back to normal now. Pearl seems a little outside the group as she was good friends with Elora. We found out that Elora's sister also died over Christmas which seems a little odd. We have drawn conclusions that it was probably a genetic heart factor.
