The Consequences of Hay Burrowing

Aw, poor boy x My mothers neighbour had something like this complaint, he had an operation to pull back the eye lid slightly so it turns out and the eye lashes stop brushing the eye ball and making it sore, it worked really well. Hope it’s just hay poke though and he’s better soon x

Update.
Micah’s eye is still not right but is better.
It’s a slow job.
The vet is now sure it was haypoke caused the problem but Micah does not believe in doing anything by halves so we now have a corneal oedema.
He’s still on eye drops and the vet added Loxicom today to alleviate any discomfort.
He’s not in pain but is possibly feeling some discomfort and scratching or rubbing his eye which is why it’s so slow mending.

He’s costing me a fortune in vet bills so it’s a good job that he is the cutest, sweetest, loveliest and funniest boy who is worth every penny

Aw, poor Micah, hope you can get his eye better soon x

Aah poor little Micah, and you with all the vet trips! Hope his eye improves soon, lots of healing vibes from me and the piggles x

Poor little Micah, you don't do things by halves.
Sending you hugs and hope you eye is all better soon.xx

Micah is confused and hopes an older, more experienced piggy can help him.

His slave keeps going on about him not helping when he keeps his eye tight shut and she’s trying to put drops in.
So today after he made getting the afternoon eye drops in, he decided to cooperate with his Metacam and take it like a good boy.
Again slave wasn’t happy and kept going on about letting go of the syringe!

What’s a young boar to do when he can’t win either way?

Dear Micah

You need your eyedrops to make your eye better so you have to keep your eye open when your slave puts them in. Then you will feel good about helping your slave. Metacam is very yummy (I should know I get my Metacam fix twice a day and Meg is VERY jealous). It's so yummy that if slave isn't quick enough Meg gets a lick of the end of the syringe too. I don't blame you for not wanting to let go of the syringe.

Lots of love
Christian

PS Keep your slave guessing and co-operate ...... sometimes!

Dear Christian,

Thank you for your advice.
My slave holds me on her lap to give me my medicine but the yummy Metacam could be why my girls all want to kiss me when I go back.

I will think carefully about what you have said about cooperating sometimes - that sounds like a good plan.

Love from Micah

Oh poor little floof, a corneal oedema sounds nasty, he's a lucky boy that his mummy is bankrupting herself for vet bills for his naughty eye! Sending healing wheeks and hugs and he should probably get some extra coriander for being so good? X
