Dear Hoomans and Piggies

As you may or may not know the Cup of Disgrace is awarded by the GPU (Guinea Pig Union) to Hoomans/Slaves/ Minions whatever you want to call them for any misdemenor or annoyance that I as Union Rep and Shop Steward thinks is serious enough. It is transient and can be awarded to different Slaves to be the Custodian of it until it's passed on.

Here is an picture of it so that you all know what it looks like.

It has been passed on many times over the years but now we have a thread to keep track of who has it and why.

The Committee of the GPU did discuss this but thought that there would be so many names to add to the cup that there would be no room left on it. Also, it was felt that that Hoomans/Minions/Slaves might like to misbehave just to get their name on the Cup many times and so have bragging rights. The custodians of the Cup of Disgrace know who they are .......

As the (not so) proud winner of this shiny trophy, I do have to say it is marvellous looking! 🏆 I will be going to find the finest lettuce leaves in all the land tomorrow for her highness babychino hazel…. Maybe then she will forgive me! 🥬 🫑

Do I have the right to leave my version of this ordeal?
It was 31° hot yesterday. I know a guinea pig never had to blow balloons the first thing in the morning. When I was all wet of sweat it was time to hang up the glitter curtains. Well, they attacked me Saxon! I was so sweaty I was stuck.
108 balloons, a party rent, glitter curtains, the kids came. Four hours of watching five 10 year old boys by the pool. In the heat. When I came home professor Ben and his hairy daddydude got their salad PRONTO because that little professor was screaming of hunger!
After that I finally had the chance to eat. I took some spinach leaves, a little bit of cucumber and my avocado.

When I was almost killed by glitter curtains and my own sweat, little professor Ben was chilling on his cooling pad, tummy stuffed with cucumber.

I have the (dis)pleasure of handing you the cup of disgrace... I see your pleas to Sir Saxon above, I do hope he changes his mind, as I would not wish to have to bestow the cup of disgrace on anyone, especially someone who clearly had a tough day!

I hear you had a tough day, well if you will insist on having a party for 10 year olds what do you expect? You may have had a difficult day but that is no excuse for nicking Benny boys salad, or Hairy Harry's either.

Dear Saxon Canute,

I promise to always buy two different of every little veggie in the future. I will carve "PIGS" into the shell of the cucumber, the bell pepper and so on. I will look for nametags on Etsy to mark their salad bag. But. To be fair; its more often maleslave that eats their veggies. But okay. It has been a bit empty without the cup of Disgrace the last four days. I'm not a rookie, Saxon.

The new custodian of The Cup of Disgrace is at @Minnou for making her piggies mad by:-

1) resisting their demands for the melon they knew was in the fridge
2) putting them outside
3) bringing them back indoors
4) making herself a cup of tea, getting some biscuits and not offering them any of either
5) Giving them unsolicited bum tickles when she saw a furry butt poking out of a hidey

Disgraceful behaviour!

Maybe @Merab was just being eco-friendly?
Anyway it's clear anybody and everybody is in danger of getting The Cup of Disgrace for some reason or other. Probably even those of us without guineas any more.

Gaia: 'That does sound bad... But no-one has heard what the Slave did to me today! As every pig here knows, when I decide it is time to go to bed, I climb inside the magic elevator (or the red tunnel as the Slave calls it, but my name for it is better) and wait for it to transport me to where I want to go and if it doesn't move quickly enough for my liking, I teeth chatter. I prefer to use the magic elevator as it means the Slave cannot touch me directly and plant kisses on me. But she likes to wait until I'm near the entrance and try to catch me just so she can give me cuddles! I'm used to her trying to trick me that way but today she did something new.... she left the magic elevator near me but covered both entrances with tea towels just to see if I were smart or persistent enough to try and work out how to get inside! I was fuming! I headbutted the magic elevator, then sat somewhere the Slave could see me but not reach me. I gave her a most severe glare and had Minerva do it too.

Sorry, but I think my Slave should hold the Cup of Disgrace longer!'

Dear Gaia and Minerva

Your Slave clearly hasn't learned how to treat you with respect despite being on the Wall of Shame Forever, being the custodian of the Cup of Disgrace several times, you both awarding her The Bucket of Shame and various sanctions suggested by THREE different GPU reps (The One and Only Thea 🌈 (Shop Steward, Retired), Miss Bramble (Shop Steward, Retired) and myself. I have asked Miss Bramble for advice on how to assist you. She suggested that as your Slave had carried out a very bad action, and that nothing seems to have worked, she suggested I write to the GPU today to explain what has happened. I will write to them shortly and will let you know their reply in due course.

For the record, no Union Rep has written to the GPU since March 2022 when The One and Only Thea 🌈 (Shop Steward Retired) had to complain about her own Slave not having treats when The Ever Beautiful Betsy🌈 (Shop Steward, Retired) asked for them and waking up Meg 🌈 from a deep sleep. Thea also mentioned what the consequences of their Slave's actions had been.
