The Embarrassing Things We Do

My husband always complains that when I come home I greet him very casually and then I go into the dining room where the piggies are and my voice raises several octaves as I fuss and coo 'Hello my piggy wigs, how are you? Have you had a lovely day...' etc etc

Hehehe first thing I ask when the OH picks me up is
'The pigs alright?'
And its always a sighed... yeeees

God I talk to animals in the street as well! I'm probably known as the local nutter.

Also if there is a dog in an 'unusal place' like on a bus or a train I absolutely lose it with excitement "omg a dog! There is a dog on the bus! A dog! On the bus!". All out loud often when I'm alone. I think I need help...
:lol!:
Thats so funny

I was going to ask as well - I sing to my pigs, not only to them, but about them! My and my OH are always changing the lyrics to songs so they are about the piggies.
For example,
Let it Go (Frozen) "Be the good pig you always have to be, squeak, don't wheek, put on a show, make one wrong move and every pig will know..."
I think we might be slightly mad! We have loads.
Copacabana is another favourite (her name is Primrose, she was a showpig..)

I'm hoping I'm not the only person here who does this :D

Ha ha, loving this thread. I am glad we are all just as mad as each other :)

Our best ones have to be the OH nearly asking the boys opinion on the double glazing quote whilst the salesman was in the room...! We talk to them all the time like we expect them to answer so it's hard not to when someone else is there :)

The other thing we do is communicate in wheeks but I see @lisaali has the same problem..... Instant dislike of anything, particularly loud noises is met with a disapproving 'brrrrrrr' from one or both of us ;)

I wish I could remember all mine. Here's some: For some reason I always greet the shed piggies with 'bonjour piggy poos ' first thing and the indoor convalescing ones with ' wakey wakey rise and shine'. No idea why I go French with the others... I don't even speak French?! I always ask them how they slept ?!

I tell them if I am making a work call and can they be quiet just for a short time. I tell them when I am going out and for how long... Oh so much more! Definitely totally mad!

I live at home with my parents so when I am on placement with uni and my mum looks after the piggies I say to them 'now girls, behave yourselves for granny'

Haha my friends think I'm nuts as it is, luckily they don't see that part! :D

I do have full blown conversations with my lot, but the best one was when Humphrey got himself free in the garden at the weekend. Its fully enclosed so I knew he wasn't going to escape, but I wasn't up to giving chase, so I stood in the middle of the path explaining to a happily exploring piggy that no, running around poking noses into strange things was not a good idea, and yes, little Humpy-Wumpy-Haystack did want to come back, because look, mummy has some celery and all the other piggy-wiggies will be jealous of him running free, yes they will.
I bet my neighbours loved the free show!

i also have a habit of saying hello gorgeous to dogs on the street then have to explain to their owners that i wasn't talking to them.Have been known to get evils off wives for this

I'm so glad its not just me that does that! I got myself in a sticky situation once for saying "Hello Gorgeous" to a lovely lurcher and then having to deal with the male owner who thought I was coming on to him!

I explain to my piggies when they squeak that they aren't getting anything as they have hay, water and have had their veggies for the day and these ones are for the ratties. The dogs also get no, you've had yours. It is ratties turn.Often reason with my animals telling the dogs that there is no point in pulling as they won't get there any faster
