Meet the sanctuary residents and bring your picnic, but there is also going to be a yummy summery dessert buffet from me as well as homemade cream tea. Vegan and gluten-free options available!

From noon onwards. You REALLY don't want to miss my chocolate mousse! :D

PS: Pick-up from Northampton station can be arranged if you are planning to come by train.
@furryfriends (TEAS)

I can't make this Saturday but will be there on 1 September. Really looking forward to meeting everyone.

I’m very sorry I can’t make it this Saturday but I hope to in September. Wishing everyone a really fun day x

It's a great opportunity to see where it all happens and to see the fab work Debbie does. It's hard to imagine what rescues are like, and why they need funds and what they do with them. These days will let you see how it works at TEAS.

And eat lots of Wiebkes wonderful desserts too! I can vouch on how great her baking is!

I am going to be busy in the next two days...

Sorry I can’t come to this one :soz: I’ll be moshing to some Billy Ocean tunes :)) I will do my utmost to be at the next open day in September:) x

Really hoping to see lots of you on Saturday!

Unfortunately, due to lack of volunteers, it won't be possible, as the event will have just started then. However, if you stay until the end, I can drop you back to the bus station, as I will be dashing out to do my pet care visits. Lovely your Mum will be coming too! xx

Looking forward to seeing you!

Hub and I are just working on the fresh fruit salad, and then we are all set up for a summery dessert buffet - including nearly 3 kg of my legendary Swiss chocolate mousse!

Now THAT is a BIG bowl of sheer heaven for chocaholics - with no added gelatine, by the way!

And for the afternoon tea, additionally to my hub's homemade scones and strawberry jam, I also have two ice cakes with a frozen light quark cheesecake filling, one with mandarins and sliced almonds and the other with pear and chocolate bits.

For the kids there will be ice cream with gingerbread guinea pigs.

Don't miss it! You may know my cakes, but you haven't met my puddings yet - and hub and I have got quite a reputation for them in some quarters! The mousse, creme and fruit salad are actually delicious as a combination! :yahoo:

I’m drooling here.
Hope you have a fantastic day.
@Wiebke please can I have your recipe for the vegan & gf cheesecake?
I’m always on the lookout for new ideas for my husband who is gf & df.

I've got the recipe from the BBC but have mixed in juiced strawberries with a little agave syrup about 1 hour into the firming up for a bit more interest. I might only use one large lemon instead of two if I make it again. My cashews have not gone quite smooth when blitzed, so the filling is a bit creamy.

I've nicked the idea with the strawberry mottling from this very similar recipe: Irresistible Vegan Strawberry Cheesecake Bites

Thank you. I will have to give it a try.

The filling was a bit grainy in texture, but the taste was great! The vegan visitors liked it very much, though.
I’ve looked at the recipes and like them.
I’m glad the vegans enjoyed them.
I make a dairy free cheesecake topping with a block of silken tofu & soya yogurt flavouring with fruit and setting with a sugar free jelly or vegan equivalent.
