My hubby has finally gave in and let me bring the girls indoors whilst the weather is so cold. The situation is far from ideal as they are currently living in a large Ikea storage box in the back bedroom which isn't really big enough for 4 and hubby is suffering with his allergies. The back room is also tiny and we are struggling with washnig etc. The storage box doesn't have really high sides and has a lid but we have taken the lid off and replaced with one of the panels from their outdoor run.
It started because I was convinced that Eliza had lost weight as she felt a little bony around her neck. Chris has always said that if the weather effects their health, we would sort something out to enable them to come inside for a while. I have since weighed Eliza and she hasn't lost weight at all, in fact, she has gained a little. I haven't mentioned that to Chris though.
They have been in since Saturday night and seem happy enough. They are also getting lots of run time.
Chris has made it clear that this is not permanent and they will be back in the hutch when the weather warms up again which is fair enough as like I said, it isn't an ideal situation.
We are off to Nottingham on Thursday and the girls have a hutch in my parents shed that they normally go in. However, my dad has agreed to bring the hutch indoors just for Christmas. Luckily, it isn't very big. 2 small for 4 but fine for a couple of nights.
