My hubby has finally gave in and let me bring the girls indoors whilst the weather is so cold. The situation is far from ideal as they are currently living in a large Ikea storage box in the back bedroom which isn't really big enough for 4 and hubby is suffering with his allergies. The back room is also tiny and we are struggling with washnig etc. The storage box doesn't have really high sides and has a lid but we have taken the lid off and replaced with one of the panels from their outdoor run.

It started because I was convinced that Eliza had lost weight as she felt a little bony around her neck. Chris has always said that if the weather effects their health, we would sort something out to enable them to come inside for a while. I have since weighed Eliza and she hasn't lost weight at all, in fact, she has gained a little. I haven't mentioned that to Chris though.

They have been in since Saturday night and seem happy enough. They are also getting lots of run time.

Chris has made it clear that this is not permanent and they will be back in the hutch when the weather warms up again which is fair enough as like I said, it isn't an ideal situation.

We are off to Nottingham on Thursday and the girls have a hutch in my parents shed that they normally go in. However, my dad has agreed to bring the hutch indoors just for Christmas. Luckily, it isn't very big. 2 small for 4 but fine for a couple of nights.

I don't blame you Claire, I know you wrap your piggies up so well, but this weather is just something else. x

keep on working on huby :)) its blinkin freezing out there i had to defrost the bunnys bottle before and ive wrapped it in tin foil and 2 socks in the hope that will help

Aw glad you've got them in, its so so cold this winter! What your husband doesn't know won't hurt him :)) (about Eliza loosing weight) :))

I think that they are absolutely fine where they currently are and you can stop fretting about them in these extremely cold nights! As long as they have daily run time, there won;t be a problem.

Being warm iss much more important than space, they wont mind as a temporary measure, better alittle less space than being freezing bless them and |I bet they're liking having more attention!

Glad you have been able to bring your girls in in this cold weather, I went out to my shed yesterday, and the brussel sprouts that I have put in there to keep fresh for christmas had frozen :{. Not good.
