Here's one of the guinea pigs my wife Sue has made. We're selling them at various rescue open days & other rescue events around the country including Bunny Burrows event in Northallerton next month & TEAS open day the following month. Maybe also at a Cavy Corner event or the Potteries Christmas Animal Fair in November. Last 2 to be conformed. These piggies are not suitable for small children because of the eyes but Sue may be making some with wool or cotton for the eyes. They'll be £5 each & all proceeds going to a rescue.

They are lovely ...you wife should do commissions (that is if they can be knitted in different colours then we could have mini me's for each of our piggys)

She's a brilliant knitter & self taught because being left handed couldn't learn to knit the regular way. She doesn't like to work to order but just does these while watching TV. She does variations so that most of them are unique. She's doing some tricolours with same 2 colours as pictured piggy but dark brown for the rear of piggy. She's hoping to do at least 6 for each event we're going to. She was doing rabbits but they were taking 6 to 8 times longer but only getting 3 times as much much so sticking to the piggies for now. We're always looking for more genuine piggy colours when we're out for the day.

They are lovely! Your wife is talented. I would definately buy one!

We will be buying one for sure! Fab and for a great cause

Id love a replica of peppa and george but they're a bit crazy lol :-) they're very cute! I may have to come to bunny burrows on day given they're the closest rescue, though not piggy bank id be interested to have a look around and decide for myself if id adopt from them :-)

The way the pattern is you can have changes of colour but it would be a straight join around the piggy so some have a different colour from just in front of their back legs.

I can confirm that Sue is an amazing knitter - I would hope that I could buy a piggy or two maybe at a Cavy Corner event. I love them.
