This morning I gave the guineas pig lettuce and I put my hand in the cage with the lettuce and in their own time, buttercup came up to me and ate the lettuce. Then I put my hand in without the lettuce and buttercup sniffed it. I spoked to them in a soft, happy tone. I think buttercup is slowing becoming more confident. I'm becoming more confident too. Peachy is more shy. That's okay, I'm not frustrated. I put my hand out and I held one bit of an orange. She slowly came out but she refused to come out and take it from my hand. But instead, I put it on the floor. I don't think peachy likes oranges. She tried to eat it but she didn't eat it. Buttercup likes them because I saw her take one since it was on the floor. I guess this a good start. They're not totally confident but they are slowly improving.

Thats great news,

My boy i adopted, Marmite, took nearly 6 months before he started eating out of my hand while in his cage ! i guess all piggies do it in there own time, congratualtions and hope the rest of the taming goes just as well (:

aww bless! that's encouraging though, they must be feeling comfortable being around you.
My youngest boar, Tyler, I have had for just over a year and he's very confidant when it comes to food and climbing the cage door but he doesn't like me touching him or catching him at all rolleyes
