It’s today!

Set up is almost ready. They have the pets at home clover hutch (second hand bargain) in our shed, plus a large inside free range area. Outside area is built but still to be meshed and painted as it won’t stop raining! Just need to cut a hole between the inside and outside and build the “door” so we can block it off.

Picking the girls up about 4pm

What have you got for a heater?
& is that wall going to be insulated?
A part from that it's definitely a piggy palace

No heater as no elec put there. We’ll see how long that lasts! The shed has plenty of ventilation and in winter they will live in the 6x2 hutch with all the cold weather precautions that an outside hutch would have.

I’m viewing the inside free range bit as a run so they won’t us even it when the weather is too cold, but will come inside for floor time.

I’ve had fully outside guineas before so know how to insulate a hutch etc. I just figured the shed is an extra layer of wood ie extra insulation, but I know that it alone won’t be enough for winter.

Do you know where you got your shed from by any chance? I’m trying to find one for mine :). It looks lovely by the way xx

A hutch in a shed is far better than it just being outside as at least it’s protected from the elements :)

It came with the house when we bought it 12 years ago. I reckon it’s about 20 years old!
