I felt so sorry over the past few weeks that my guys were outside in this horrid windy weather I couldnt wait any longer and have worked really hard yesterday to get the spare room (which was full of empty boxes, junk and a double bed) ready for them to come inside for the rest of the year.

the empty pen set up
the bed area, lots of cozies and hides for the moment and an old bed sheet over the top to make them feel safer

Its made up of puppy pen sides, correx base on tarpaulin on the base of the double bed so its off the floor and safer from the dog. I have a stair gate on the door to stop miss pepper going in to "play" with them and the door is shut at night and when we are not around so she cannot get in with them. They are still rather spooked by the change in environment for them, have been leaving them alone with door open so they get used to the noises around the house and didnt have a fleece big enough at first so have used a few, now have big ones which are being washed ready to be used.

now with pigs in, they were out for their second day of grass time (sadly they have not been out for 3 weeks and my grass has taken over, but they happily munched their way through it)

flash (back left), fudge (back right) and crystal discovering that big pens come with lots of veggies

minty at the hay racks with fudge and crystal still looking about at the new home (this was the second day and they were a lot braver today so took quick snaps on phone)

Looking forward to them relaxing more as the days go on, they were happy with the outside set up and routine but I couldnt keep them outside much longer with my work and the weather, hutch is all wrapped up ready for the winter and will be spring cleaning that in the spring.

Awwwwww it looks so cosy and homely too hope they're all settling into their fabulous new home i love the pigtures :)

Awww, lovely! They look like they're settling in well now! It looks so cozy, wish i had a room like that!

well they moved in thurs and so far (apart from flash rolleyes ) they are settling down with me coming in and out of the room and are happy to eat while I am in the room. Flash who is very skittish (from his previous home) sets off minty running around but she comes to her senses before he does, he will settle down again like he did in the hutch but he does take a while before he isnt absolutely scared of everything.

I purposefully put the pen on the base of my old double bed so that they were off the floor, two reasons, firstly if pepper did manage to get in the room they are higher up than the floor and the pen top is higher than she is so less likely for her to hop over. Secondly so I wont be as tall as normal and less scarey when I am approaching, plus not so back breaking work spot cleaning them each day.

Fudge has been left out of the hides for the first two days, the other three were squeezing in together and not allowing her to hide with them so I removed the hides and replaced with the stools (they are so mean to fudge :( ) but she has already taken to sleeping in the cozies and beds so more fool them. I have been watching them while they eat :red I am loving having them so close to me but know that they do like their space too so only watch for a little while. I sit in the pen while I clean it and today fudge ran up to my hand and sat on me - was worried that she might taste my fingers :)) but she always was the most adventurous of the lot.
