I have said in the past that I very, very rarely take my pigs out on the grass.

Goal this year was to change all that! So when it is just right outside (read: warm ground, warm air (not hot, and no chill), and nothing more than a very light breeze) I've been taking a couple of groups out. Only half an hour each group as they're not used to pigging out on unlimited amounts of grass and clover.

Got some lurvely pics though, enjoy!

Elijah - this is my favourite photo I've ever taken of him.

Jasmine - my little sweetie who will be 5 in early May!

Gwenivere - my dear heart pig who has put me through so much! Stable at the moment although needing an increase in meds dosage to help her over her last symptoms. Poor girlie had a hay poke in her eye the other night, eye came up quite nasty but it's cleared up perfectly though with a little treatment.

Wheeky, I also grow grass indoors. Search online for Planet Guinea, buy some seeds (Easigrow is good) and a Brilliant Brick! of compost, plus a few seed trays. Trust me, it's fab and super-easy to grow. I know nothing about gardening and I managed ok, plus the pigs love it. :)

Lovely piccies!

Yeah, this is the year I'm determined for my indoor piggies to get plenty of sun, in order to get their vitamin D levels up (although I can't really do the grass, due to Cassie's tum). They were out for a sunbathe today, as it was lovely and warm/breezy, without being hot.

Seriously good photos, really good shots of your piggies. I'm very glad you've been able to get them out for a munch, I hope this good weather continues so that you can keep up the good work!

Loving pigtures x), they look very professional and I love the run! Not too mention the grass :)!

AWWW - I completey agree with you about Elijah; he looks so personable and at ease in that picture! drooldrooldrool

Lovely pics; it's not easy at all focusing through the mesh, is it?

I'm sure that piggies have had a great adventure and will enjoy the trips even more when they get used to being outside!

PS: the twins look ever so well behaved! x)

Laura they DO look really well behaved and that run is MASSIVE! I love it.

What beautiful guineas you have there. Really lovely and I bet thay have loved munching the grass and having a nice run about.

Ah, but what you didn't see is them two minutes later, sitting in the sandpit fully clothed after I told them NOT to sit in the sandpit...

The twins that is, not the pigs!

Thanks for the lovely comments, I will try to catch up with everyone elses pics this weekend. I'm trying not to lose touch with you all, I seem to be living exclusively in H&I when I do get on here so I need to make it a habit again to visit the photos and general chat at least!

The piggies send luvs to you all too, they are very happy that you think they are gorgeous. :)

Great pics and a fab run.

Love the picture of Gwenivere. It's as if she's saying 'it's all been worth it'- bliss. :(|)

Aww, the photo of Harrison is SO cute, he looks like a little person smiling for the photo. They're all lovely piggies though, Elijah is a very good looking model. They look very content to be out and about in the fresh air. :)

The photographs are really good Laura - I especially like the one of Harrison x)

Photos taken outside have a very different feel about them and with the different levels of light it seems to show the depth of colour in the piggies' coat more than those taken with a flash indoors.

Natural daylight can be difficult to work with but I think these photos are great - the contrast with the grass looks good too.

Piggies do enjoy feeling the sun on them even for a very short time and of course grass grazing comes so naturally to them.

You have a fabulous herd - thanks for sharing these pigtures :)

Lovely to see piccies of your fabby piggies but even better to see gwen sunning herself! :)

Isn't he just, Sophie? Elijah's new nickname is Little Brother, while he's been on the Daktarin Oral Gel again (oral fungal - soaking wet chin but teeth healthy) I've taken to calling him that and it just seems to stick. :))

Thanks Eleanor, she did love the grass and sunshine, hoping to get her outside again on Wednesday. :)

I had more piggies outside on Saturday, more fun!
