The Hoot Strikes Back

Hopefully you go to a good Guinea Pig vet and your piggy wasn’t misdiagnosed the first time.

I would ask for a check up for your piggy and then advice. If medicine is needed your vet should just prescribe it for you.

Keep us updated!

I just read your old thread.

My Gizmo makes the same noise and he hasn’t been checked out because he only makes he noise every few weeks... I read somewhere that’s the noise they make when they sneeze and now I’m worried cause your pig was diagnosed with a cold. How badly can colds affect pigs?

Does your Pearl act differently when she makes the noise?

I wonder if guinea pigs have asthma and that’s the noise they make when they have an asthma attack of some sort?

Sorry maybe I just worry to much smh

Sorry to hear this, would advise a quick vet check again unless the noise has stopped today.

We called the vet. I think we’re going in for a visit, but I don’t know. The vet we have is experienced about guinea pigs, thankfully!

Pearl once flinched a few times and snorted. Maybe this meant it was hard for her to breathe.

She never sneezes, though.

never apologise for frequent posts.
I you can't share your concerns here where else?
Even if we can't physically do anything at least you are being supported.
