I applied for a couple of jobs at P@H and both times I was told I was over qualifed.
National Certificate and Diploma in Animal Care along with lifetime experience of looking after small rodents and dogs, to them is over qualified.
Bascially they want someone who is fresh out of school with no animal care experience so they can train them, to their standards and not know any difference.

that is rediculous!

they need all the qualified help they can get in my opinion!

Poor little piggies and bun :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
How disgraceful they must'nt have any brains or care in the world how could they leave defenceless little animals to fend like that by themselves >:( >:( >:( >:(
Good on you love for emailing them i hope you get a satisfactory reply if not give them hell :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

theyve not replied! :tickedoff:

however i went in today and the bunny had been moved and the piggys were looking a lot better

lets face it, p&h or any other pet shop or garden centre could change their policy and only employ qualified staff but at the end of the day if someone doesnt bother their ass to check if the animals have food and water then its not going to happen.... who in their right mind could walk past an animal thats starving with hunger and not do anything about it, especially when the shelves are full of stuff... id have given the staff a right ticking off! poor pigs!

true losing track of days lately cos of end of uni etc

but they were looking a lot better today, so I'm hoping the message was passed on.

the piggies had plenty of hay and food
