I dont think they are spoilt (much) and one to like them to have as good a life as possible (and potentially add a 5th pig :)):red ) I am looking at extending their hutch with a second 3ft hutch onto their 5ft hutch.

I have 3 options available

Open the bottom section up, pave the ground and make or buy a run to attach to the front so they have a 24 hour run (although will probably shut them in the hutch at night).
but I worry that foxes would get into the extension, making the fitting secure on the front and weather would make the use of this run a little difficult. If I am at work all day I would worry about them being exposed to nature while I am not there to protect them, when I am here and its sunny they get to use the run so do they really need the extra run space?

With the little table next to the hutch I could put a 3ft single hutch next to the existing one, drill through both and put pipes through for them to run through and gain access to the extra hutch. I wouldnt have to worry about them being at a lower level and foxes as they are off the ground and in a properly built hutch of similar construction to their existing hutch.
but in windy days would this be stable enough for them?

And finally a two level 3ft hutch (cant believe I am looking at 3ft'ers but its not the only space they have and would fit in nicely), either with a ramp for even more space, or just use the top level and use the space underneath as storage.

I like the third plan, how much would the overall space be for the guys? Is this right, presuming the new hutch would be 2ft, 5x3 = 15sq ft x 2 for both levels + 3x2 = 36 sq ft of space or am I being thick :red and that is assuming I only give them the top level and not accounting for the little bit missing from the ramp (which actually is only a little bit in my hutch)
