A few of you have asked what setup I have for my boys. Please note, they get a lot of floor time around the house as our dog is either at work with dad on my days off, or at day care. The dog is never alone in the house at any time.
when not running around the house, my babies live in their own room with lots of peace and quiet. This room also has the best climate in the house with a nice consistent temperature for them (year round).
the setup is Thor and Odin on the right, Stark in the middle (we have tried him with other pigs but he just can’t get along. He seems very happy in his own section and talks to his friends through the bars), and Banner and Rocket on the left.
The long cages are exactly the same size (the photo makes the right look shorter but it isn’t).
The C&C is cabled tied at every point to ensure it doesn’t unclip.
we use towels, bath mats and fleece.
The door to the room is a double thickness door (And reinforced by my husband), with a lock, a bolt and a padlock. There is also a large baby gate on the hallway to the door. So totally dog proof. The dog is always locked by yet another door in the other side of the house whenever I go to see the piggies. And I can also bolt the piggie door from the inside. So absolutely dog proof at all times.
The blind is down at night time but we don’t get sun on this side of the house, so they get plenty of light during the day
Oh... and don’t mind my Disney obsession
