I didn't want to post this too soon because i didn't want to jinx anything but somehow after 6 years of being a caring loving owner and never doing anything to hurt my little guys they've realised I'm not a threat!

I do care that my boys are used to being handled because it gives me more opportunity's to notice if something isn't quite right and means it's less of a big deal when it's time for things like nail trims and vet visits but I've come to accept that they would never want to be picked up no matter how happy they may be once they're in my lap.

Well last week during cage clean time they were in a run on the floor and I came to sit in the middle of the run to give them treats and veggies (something ive done plenty of times before). Spud learned he could crawl up my leg and I would pick him up and give him cuddles and veg. Gunham hesentently copied his braver brother as per usual.

Well this week they've been so bold/ noisy/demanding and I've blamed the fact we've been a bit out of routine but on Thursday when I went to get spud out for a cuddle HE DIDN'T RUN AWAY! both boys have been letting me pick them up multiple times a day for the past 3 days to give them a fuss and a snack. And they've even been letting my OH pick them up too. These boys are nearly 6 and I never thought I'd see this from them I'm absolutely overjoyed I've always loved them just the way they are but they seem so happy and confident it makes me smile. I don't know how we did it but we did it we have two tame little boys and I feel like such a proud mama I just had to share.

Awww 🥰. I’m so happy for you. I remember the day Percy first jumped onto my lap. It’s a special day.

They are such happy, gorgeous piggies.
