The Tribe have a regular column in the "Guinea Pig Magazine". I had been asked to provide a Christmassy contribution for the current issue #11 (which can still be ordered!)
There were pigherds out on lush meadows, keeping watch over their flocks and anything edible at night.
Angels of the Lord appeared over the roof of the inn and wheeked: "We bring good news! Your Saviour is born tonight! He's got more food!"
They found a well nourished baby in a manger with Joseph and Mary, attended by two teddies munching away on hay (much to the raw envy of everypig).
A star appeared in the sky to get in on the action.
Three Wise Sows followed the star, bearing pellets, readigrass and herbs (although supplies were starting to run a bit low by the time they came to Jerusalem).
There they asked King Herod in his palace whether he could tell them where the newborn king of the piggies was. Herod didn't know, but they found the baby in the house the star indicated. They didn't return to Herod as promised because they were running seriously out of provisions by then!
The Tribe and I are wishing you a nommy Christmas and a wheeky New Year!
