Ben and Jerry have worked out that more space is much better to do popcorns and zoomies in. But can someone tell me why when they have a dish full of veggies and two bowls of pellets, Jerry still prefers the chew cardboard?! I cut the sides out of a cardboard box to make a 4 way tunnel come climbing box and he just went under it and started eating daft piggie.

Someone on here mentioned about them liking mirrors, thanks to you I have lost my close up mirror! I daren't take it away from them they are always looking in it. I believe they must kiss the 'other' piggie because it was clean when I put it in and now its all smeared! Poser piggies. They still love the big yellow duck and crawl under it and toss it around the playpen to their hearts content.

The funniest thing this morning was seeing them zooming around the cage through the hanging tunnel, round the back of the mirror, though the box, past the food dish and finally straight through the hay pile! Scattering it everywhere. I've only had them a mere three weeks but today Jerry deliberately cam all the way across from the other side when I called him and sniffed my finger. I was so pleased, they have both been wheeking at me every morning for breakfast but this was me calling him and him coming deliberately. I know things take time but to me this is a major trust thing on Jerry's behalf.

They are both taking a well earned break but I have no doubt they will be up and racing again soon.

 
They just love to chew cardboard, Wiebke had an ace picture of one of the cardboard carriers her piggies had destroyed. Mine also like to rip up and chew newspaper, when Esme was poorly a few weeks back and was being syringe fed if you left a newpaper on the floor she would just come over and start eating it.
Sounds like your boys are having lots of fun and looks like they have a fantastic setup :)
 
Sounds like they are having tons and tons of fun! Lucky piggles.

Piggies will always chew anything you don't want them to... It is the law :))
 
That playpen looks so good! Perfect fit for two guinea boys :)
 
That's great, once they trust you, all the hard work eases :x
Love the dish with their selection of veggies on offer :)) I have one of these that's never been used...could be put to use if the girls decide not to park their ample booties in the centre :{
 
Is this the playpen from Amazon? Can't remember the sellers name...I got it to put outside and the pigs prefer to chew the cardboard too lol! They look happy anyway :D

I had more cuddles with him this morning, I will have Ben out later on today. I like to have one out then put them back together for a while before taking the other one out. I will be glad when my leg is better and hopefully I will be able to get on the floor with them. Lap cuddles are just as nice for now though.

I was looking for a small dish to put the veggies in when I spotted this lurking at the back of the cupboard (too lazy to put it in the shed with all the other picnic/partywear) and it just seemed perfect. They ran to it and proceeded to remove everything onto the fleece though!

Mr. Bailee is beautiful! Such a handsome piggie! I find that mirrors both fascinate and scare mine though :)

It's not obvious but Jerry actually fell asleep admiring himself in the mirror! He's also fallen in love with this duck and cuddles it, climbs on it, nibbles it and pushes it around until he backs it into a corner. Which in their small cage isn't difficult! (ferplast 120)



 
That's so funny....I also have a few stuffed animals with my boy as well. I buy them at the local pet stores as dog toys. Since Mr. Bailee Boy is my one and only piggie and he loves the company of his little stuffed friends.
 
My piggies always eat cardboard and news paper. Though I'm not sure if they are supposed to
