Right! I've just this minute got to the bottom of the "Phantom 3am Bellringer"! Simon and I have been listening to those haunting chimes for months.... curled up in bed, trying to sleep, in the dead of night.... while the wind whistles through the trees and..... oh forget it.

I have unmasked the cause of this nightly intrusion! :D

It's not the chinchilla and her little trio of bells... oh no. No, no, no, no.

It's him. >:D

A few of mine do. Some of them like to stand up underneath them to make them ring. Some nudge them with the noses, and Hairy as you can see likes to get the mirror in his teeth and chuck it about. ;D
