Just tried to weigh Cupcake and Queenie after cleaning out their cage, but they had other ideas! They refused to stay still in the scale pan, so I completely failed to get a reading, and then they just hopped right out and decided they would have a bit of floor time. They're now running and popcorning around like crazy - it's so funny! (And cute!)

Oh, they're also kindly doing a bit of hay hoovering for me!

That's just another reason for loving guinea pigs. They have a mind of their own.

They've had to go back in their cage now, which they weren't very keen to do, but I don't think they mind too much, as there's lots of lovely fresh hay to nom on!

I think that with piggies (like husbands) the trick is to make them think it was their idea rather than yours to do something! Perhaps trying to keep them away from the scales would result in one taking up residence

Ha ha, love it. Weighing them can be a pain when they won't stay still. At least you are getting the hay hoovered up :)

I actually tell my piggies to stay…
Like… *piggie in bowl/scale*…. stay…stay… staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay…. NOOO! Don't jump out!
Staaaaaaaaay………….. alright I give up…

Ssshhhh! We don't want the husbands cottoning on to that!

Yes, I tried that too! The guinea pig obedience training hasn't worked very well - oh, I've got that the wrong way round haven't I - we're the ones being trained!
