The Piggies Decided To Send Some Post...

My poor husband is always wishing he would get something exciting in the post, and daily his hopes are shattered. So our four lovely kind squeakers decided that they would do something to remedy the situation. They put together all their pennies, and for the grand sum of £1 bought a nice card with a guinea pig fridge magnet on the front. Phoebe, as spokes-guinea, was the one to do the (very) hard work of writing it. I will admit, I did have to help her a little, but as she says, she doesn't get an awful lot of practice at writing. In case it doesn't show up on the photo, here is what she wrote, complete with authentic spelling;

"Dere John, We herd that yoo never get enny eksiting post so we thort yoo mite like it if we cent yoo this card. Pleze ekscuze my riting but I hav only got stubby little pawz and now thay reelly ake! Spelling is very hard. lots ov squeaky luv from Feebee (I rote this) & Flora & Cuppcake & Kweeny x"

Because they are very small, they don't get much pocket money, and after buying the card they were pretty much cleared out, so they begged me for an old stamp out of my stamp collection, and asked me to glue it on the envelope and post it through the letter box, which I accordingly did.

I reckon Phoebe deserves extra treats for being so clever, and they all deserve treats for being so selfless in parting with their precious pocket money, that, after all, they could have used to buy carrots!P1000326.webp P1000329.webp

But we did have to post it. The
Writing &spelling looked similar tho!

That's so sweet! Perhaps us humans might give a teeny bit of help with our left hands? (If you're right handed, that is!)

Ooh, I hope your piggies have got you something nice!

I once had a piggy present, and do you know what it was? A rubbery old carrot that had been wrapped up and left under the tree for at least a week! I was distinctly underwhelmed. Surprised they could spare it, really!
 
This is a really lovely and fun idea. I don't know about taking over the world (yet) but Spike wants to stand as an MP at the next election with a view to eventually becoming PM.
