The pigs got a new outdoor run, They loved it today!

When I got Wilma, she came with a large outdoor run. It needed some fixing up to make it snake and escape proof, so the pigs got to use it for the first time today! Plus it’s been too hot this January to be able to get them outside much, but today was quite pleasant

I’m also looking into getting a run for my American cavy. But we will be using it on the balcony because I don’t want my guinea pig roaming around on the grass and around plants because of the risk of parasites and disease as well as possible predation and I am on an increasingly tight and difficult to deal with budget because of the bills. My piggy lives inside with the family anyway.

As long as they are supervised and in a secure fine gauge mesh run, they will be safe.
If is very good for piggies to be on the grass, it’s good for their teeth to eat grass as well as fun for them.
