I've been wanting the pigs too be able too dig around in some hay for a while, but I've never really found something that might work. When cleaning today, we came across a unused box, so I cut out a piece, used the wooden sticks as a bridge and filled it with hay! Turns out that wasn't really needed as the pigs can just jump over the sides of the box, surprisingly! I'm happy with how it turned out!

Bubble doesn't seem too happy with the change so I don't know how long it will stay because as we all know, what Bubble says, goes! But I hope he will begin too enjoy too!

:)) Great idea for your piggies!

Pesky Bubble

Lovely!

My only concern is, you may want to remove the brown tape in case the piggies chew it. It's not very good for them to ingest.

It looks great! I had one of these but used it to catch the hay from the hay rack. after less than a week the card board started to become very wet and i had to throw it away
:( I think making it out of corex would be way more durable :)

Don't worry, I did :D like straight after I took the picture! I was just testing out the hight of what I needed to cut from the front too see if it was easy for the pigs! The tape was removed and the hay rack was moved next too it :D

that looks great! i don't think i have room for a box; i have been just laying the hay out over the bedding but it makes clean up much harder; i see you had a wooden hay feeder which looks exactly like what i just purchased but haven't used yet. Did it work ok for the piggies? i was concerned that the hay was difficult to get at through those wooden slats?

My pigs don't have a problem with the hay rack really. I pull a little bit out of each gap for them and they can easily get it out from there! I noticed they struggle a little if I don't pull a little bit out! So i reccomend doing that! But your piggie may not have that problem :D ive tried a few hay racks, but I'd reccomend this one over any of them!
