Oh, poor, poor girl!

Lots of vibes from me!

What a shocking state to keep Piggys in. I just can't comprehend some peoples actions with animals. Big or small, they all feel. They have every right to fair treatment and healthy living, much like us really. -c

poor piggy, glad she's on the mend now. how many did you rescue in total? x

I took 4 off her in the end. Pleased to say the little girl is eating well, and after all the cream she has had rubbed into her nipples a little bit of scab has come off:):):):)

Baffling, absolutely baffling how someone can think that it's ok to keep the pigs in a car - let alone without even a drink of water or something to eat...and in amongst wrapping products too? Jeez...

I'm glad she got in touch with you - it's the only thing the bloomin' woman did right!

Poor wee piggies :( how about trying some kamilosan cream on her nipples? it is nipple cream for breastfeeding women and perfectly safe for piggies (I have used it when first breastfeeding and it is great). Available from chemists :)

rescue

hi all ive had my first rescue to day 2 llovely sows in cage dumped in a skip wasit high in poo and wet paper and straw to ladies bought them to me i cleaned them up and they are lovey trylong haid colurs and they are so friendly

Some people! -They make me so angry!

So good of you to take them in and look after them! Keep us posted!

Why, oh why are people just so uncaring for their pets? :{

Well done for rescuing and helping them.

If the nipples are hard and crusty, then I am sure that a nice warm bath will help her. Sometimes sows can get stuff embedded on and around their nipples ... I am not entirely sure what it is but it usually responds to being gently removed when bathing.

Having said that, if the nipples are a funny shape and curling around .. sorry I couldn't enlarge your photo ... then an infection should be ruled out first of all.

Hope all goes well xx

She is on Baytril to combat any infection. I would like to give her a bath but worried as she is so painfully thin and with not much hair, she also fonds it a little painful when i hold her so think it's best if i wait a little. Will try an get a better photo tomorrow

really pleased to say all of the hardness and scabs have come off her nipples now, so they are soft and they move lovely, she doesn't cry on pain anymore either.

So now it's just geting her fur to grow back and getting more weight on her.

I'm so glad that the poor girl is getting better and finally free of pain after all her suffering - thanks to your tlc!

thats shoking sue, godd thing they came to you who is happy to help them,
