I had Rosie out to give her a quick brush, and general inspection. I put her down on my floor and picked up Tia to do the same. I took my eye off her for a second and this happened....

Faster than I could say 'Runaway guinea pig' she had scarpered to the back and out of sight.
This called for professional equipment, my phone torch and a bag of salad leaves. As if to tease me she came to the front and poked her little head out, but every time I came closer she retreated.

Leaves were tempting, but why should she come out if she could reach them at a stretch?

Oh look you've moved them! You thought that would fool me?

Nope, you were wrong.

So with a firm hand under her bottom and a bit of squealing at being removed from her hidey space, I got her out. It appears she left some presents which I shall hoover later.

She's adorable! What a sneaky girlie, she knew the veggies would be brought out I bet :))

So funny. Bless her, they do like to try us at times, and remind us were Only hoomin slaves after all. You will go fetch the food I want and make you work that bum mummy!

She definitely was thinking that. The smug look she had on her face whilst she sat just out of reach, she was determined not to be picked up. I actually think she would love to be left to explore, considering she is nearly 7, with the start of cataracts and a bit of a bunny hopping walk she just loves to have a wander around new places. Normally if I pop her on the floor she will mooch along at her own pace exploring and sniffing everything, whereas the others will just hop back into the cage.

Aw Rosie, you really have made me chuckle :))
I adore oldies and would adopt them all, so full of character and surprises rolleyes
