Well tomorrow is the big day! Taking the babies to the vets to get their sex confirmed. I will finally be able to say 'he/she' or 'her/him' with more certainty! Can't wait!

It seems an age that I've waited and yet in another way, can't believe they'll be 2 weeks old tomorrow. They're growing up too quickly.

I am very happy that it couldn't have worked out better for you, @Janey !

Of course I am ever so tickled as it means that two of the girls can come here together as (fingers crossed!) company for my single sow Beryn, who has obviously never lived with other piggies before she was dumped on the grounds of Colwyn Bay cricket club in early summer. I have not been able to bond her into one of my groups or pairs.

Janey has chosen Miaren and Meleri as their Tribe names. Miaren means Bramble and Meleri was the grandmother of St David, the Welsh national saint. She will be able to stay in touch and visit her beloved babies.

Of course I will be extremely sad to let them go, but I couldn't have hoped for a better home for both of them! So very pleased two of my girls will (hopefully) make good companions for Beryn. I am keeping the third one myself and haven't as yet decided on a name for her - will update you all when I do :)

Well there only seemed one choice of name, once I'd thought about it. My baby girl will be called Meryn! Wanted the name to start with M like her sisters and it will also remind me of Beryn too! Very original for me :D

I like it! :D

I love it.
And love unusual names in general.
However sadly so far I have always been outvoted, so I have made it quite clear that the next animal that enters this house is mine and I get to name it!

Thank you! I normally takes ages to decide on a name - lots of list making etc and then crossing out! But this just popped into my head and it stuck immediately, probably because it's unusual. Hope you get to choose a name next time.
