Hi I have held gunieapigs before and still do! but my baby boy patch is reluctant to be held or stroked, he comes to say hello, to me he is well in himself is this just shyness? he runs away if i try and get him? Skittles is different he lets me!

I'd be grateful for you're advice
Thank you

i've put one in so thats an idea thanks! X

they're great keeps your lap pooh free and it puts it on him he can climb out as he wishes

The cosy cups really work for me. The boys will jump in straight away to go back to their hutch. Getting them out of the hutch is different. Sometimes I have to herd both in, sometines only one as the other gets in on his own. They seem to take turns each week being the difficult one.

Hes probably just a bit scared of being held. My ditto loves his cuddles once hes out but always runs away from me when i try to initially pick him up. But then sometimes hel just sit there and let me. I think its just different personalitys thats all , all pigs are different. Just keep trying and try and gain his trust, once hes outnand in your arms give him a treat of cucumber or whatever so he relates being out in your arms to getting a yummy treat and not something scary. :)

Ive had them since birth ! I'm gonna give patch one on one attention from now on, he may get used to the idea of me stroking him :)

Pictures it worked!

One of my pigs Eric HATES being held! he's nearly a year old and still hates it. when he sees he's getting near to his hutch when I take him back he claws and wriggles like mad! he's the only one of my pigs that's like that, makes me a bit sad :( but I know that's just him!
