Just saw today that McDonald’s were doing toys for the movie previously and was super disappointed to see Norman, the guinea pig in a wheel? Guinea pigs are hardly ever in animation and it bugs me that it shows kids a guinea pig in a wheel

At least younger kids probably won't realise it's a guinea pig, and they might point out that it's bad in the film? I may be giving them too much credit though

I'm sure g force also shows guinea pigs in a hamster ball. Then again lady and the tramp shows dogs eating spaghetti. I dont know anyone who feeds this to their dog

At a guess i think if you got everyone in the world with guinea pigs together, most wouldnt know much about them. Just the way it is

I just worry as wheels can cause spinal problems In guinea pigs so I don’t get why they didn’t show a hamster in a wheel instead of a completely different animal. Probably being over sensitive though ignore me lol

At least g force showed the bad care later on was bad, it didn't normalise it. We're still a while off good pet care in kids films though

To people who dont appreciate guinea pigs , you will be seen as over sensitive, but to us, you do not

Kids are probably bored of seeing hamsters and the company couldn't be bothered to research

Yeah, I wish they would depict actual proper care too. I know that it's a cartoon, but a lot of people don't do much research when they get a pet and base their knowledge on all kinds of crazy sources.

Plus if you want to show a wheel... just have a hamster character. Hamsters love wheels. Problem solved.

I'm more worried about guinea pigs becoming the next impulse buy

Yeah, my first guinea pig was supposed to be a rabbit, poor thing, I didn't even know what a guinea pig was when I got her...
