I'm attempting bonding tomorrow. Just taken everything out of run and sprayed lino. I'll leave it uncovered overnight to get rid of any smells, put fresh stuff in tomorrow along with mountains of hay, add 3 piggies and see what happens.

I only hope Meg, Lexi and Thea all decide they like each other.

I have one problem if they don't get on. There's not supposed to be any tunnels or snuggle sacks or anything of that sort in the bonding pen. None of them like being picked up and the only way I can pick them up out of the run or the hutch is via tunnel or snuggle sack express. I'll stand by with oven gloves to separate and a snuggle snack to pop Meg in as she's generally the easiest one to persuade in there. I may need a Coriander bribe in there too! I'll be deep cleaning the Penthouse tomorrow ready for a new bonded threesome (I'm thinking positive thoughts and have been telling them they are meeting (a) new friend(s) for a few days now to prepare them for playing nicely). I'll have the carrier out too just in case I need to put Meg in there as she'll have nowhere else to go until the Penthouse is cleaned.

Unfortunately, its not good news. After the initial 10 mins of do I like you? Don't I like you? It ended up with one big chase and Meg and Lexi in a leaping furry rolling fight. Luckily I had the oven gloves to hand and separated them quickly. Meg is now calming down in her snuggle sack. While her temper was a bit high, Lexi had a go at Thea too but after about 5 minutes she calmed down and they are now eating hay together as if nothing had happened. I did initially think that Meg and Lexi probably wouldn't get on but I hoped I was wrong. Clearly my instinct was correct.

Aw, I’m so sorry it didn’t work out. I know from my own experience it doesn’t always go to plan. Posh and Ginger fell out briefly when I tried to bond Hector with them. It’s so disappointing isn’t it.

I would love to have all four of mine together but I think there would be serious issues with Kiki and Posh. Kiki sometimes rattles her teeth at me if I’ve been handling Posh and Ginger and I wouldn’t put it past her to give me a nip!
 
Aw I'm sorry it didn't work out, bonding is such a stressful time, especially with adults. It's got to be one of my least favourite things to do.
 
Sorry it didn't work out. I'm glad you had the oven gloves at the ready to keep them safe.
