So my four have been separated in to pairs for just over a week now, and I am noticing few things about the state of their cages.

Ruby and Lucy are in a 2 x 3, which I know is too small, and plans are afoot to change that this week. But despite their tiny cage they keep it very neat and clean, and seem quite happy. They did rebel slightly bout the loss of their huge hay tray, by repeatedly pulling all the hay out of their hay bag and sleeping on that, but apart from that, their cage has been pretty easy to clean.

Eddi and Oreo are in a 2 x 4 (still small, and will also be expanded this week) and they are trashing their cage on a daily basis! Seriously every morning it looks like some all night party has taken place in their cage. There is hay everywhere, the houses have moved, the pellet bowl is empty but there are pellets all over the cage, and they are managing to kick poops out of their cage and across the living room.
I have no idea how they do it?

And for the record, I now see why having a larger cage is much less work. I do a lot more sweeping, spot cleaning and liner cages with 2 small cages. I can't wait to have everyone back in a 2 x 5, and hopefully the party duo will settle down a bit.

Ruby and Lucy want to know if any otehr piggies will drop by for an evening of culture, herbal tea, and sophisticated conversation?
If that's not your thing, there will be wild shrieking and dancing on the table in the cage next door!

Comet and Blitzen would totally be up for partying with Eddi and Oreo. Blitzen's always had a habit of chucking his food around the place (yes, dude, I know it's you) and Comet, while not messy in that respect, loves his hay, and it can get everywhere while he's searching out THE PERFECT BIT. Or, y'know, the 20 perfect bits. Who cares? Hay everywhere!

Actually Blitzen decided to chuck a bit of lettuce at Comet earlier, and it landed on Comet's back. B then decided to eat it. From Comet's back. Comet was not impressed.

Flynn said he'd happily stop by for an evening of herbal tea and culture with the ladies. He might even grace them with a spot of lick grooming. He is such a ladies guy.

Haha! Lily would love a cultured chat, George will just curl up in his bed, thanks. But every 3 weeks they will join the party cage for one night only - big chase night! George is suddenly driven wild with desire, forgets about being an old grandpa and a furious 8 hour chase accompanied by squealing as loud as a dawn chorus ensues. Next day, hay and poops everywhere, beds overturned and very tired, slightly embarrassed piggies!

I know a couple of party guys who'd join your rabble rousers, but the tea and civilised conversation may be a little bit beyond them! We do what I like to call 'the hay dance', which seems to involve madly dashing about throwing everything in your way in the air until the place looks ransacked, bonus points if you can get poo out of the run and onto the carpet where it can be trodden on by unsuspecting humans, obviously. All of that is merely the forerunner to the favoured party trick, though, which is using brute force and ignorance to move one of the houses up and OVER the food bowl so that someone (looking at you, Praline) can greedily stuff his tiny face from his favoured bed without being disturbed by things like having to get up and walk to it. Honestly, if he applied even a half of that ingenuity into an escape attempt, I think I'd be in trouble!

I should add, he moved that house once with his brother sat on top of it!

Lol trashy boys ! Gladys and pippin trash theirs a bit at night... they manage to move stuff around but usually just their fleece house....

Peanut would love to spend an evening of culture and civalised conversation, he says it's sadly lacking at home.
Spike will join the riot next door, he loves to move the furniture and have a hay throwing party.

It's true - the smaller the cage, the more cleaning you do. I've noticed it with my foster piggies who get cleaned out every other day or sometimes every day depending on how good a job they've done of trashing the cage. Mollie and Mabel have the biggest cage and they need least cleaning out. But then they do most of their wee and poo in their hay trays which makes life very easy.

@Swissgreys Fancy swapping for a while, you can have Podrick? He's a tiny whirlwind in his house. He's not so bad now that he lives with Jon again but he's always flipping the houses over still, and I still find him under the fleece or Vetbed sometimes. He's even taught Jon how to burrow under things!

I can't believe I ever moaned about my angelic, and clearly house proud piggies.
Mine are absolute novices compared to the Mighty Podrick - he is all yours @Jaycey :))

Oh no, Caramac and Ghillie would be having none of that, they like to relax in the morning...and the evening and in the afternoons sometimes too...hehe.
Far too raucous for my two! :p

It may all change when the new teens move in and the 2x4 gets extended to a 2x5 with a deluxe hay patio with a view.
