I still can't believe it that you are gone, Brangwyn, my mischievous White Raven. It happen so suddenly and unexpectedly that I found you collapsed in the morning just before the heatwave really took off, so it wasn't a heatstroke. You made your journey to the Rainbow Bridge on the morning of Eclipse Day and on the day your wife Lleian 'Smew' was supposed to celebrate her 5th birthday, not to snuggle up with you to give you comfort and support. I should have trusted you to stage your exit with perfect timing and dramatic effect... But I would have much more preferred if you were still here.

You were extra special because you were born here together with your litter brother Baeddan (baby name Bronrhyddyn, Robin) as the last members of my dumped Cornish family, but you are the first one to leave. Your mother/grandmother Modron must have got pregnant with you only shortly before she together with her son and daughter were rescued from living rough in some dog walking wasteland under a big road bridge.
Merlin - Barcud - Millyn - Blodyn - Brangwyn - Baeddan - Modron

With you it was competition with your brother from the word go, and you were matching each other in weight every evenly in your race to grow as fast as you could. I haven't heard of another baby who started rumbling at just one day old! And then you had me in a panic when you both together hit the 250g mark just when your mum/grandmother came into season again... Dad Barcud 'Red Kite' was not quite chuffed being put on baby boar sitting round two after doing his duty by Merlin (baby name Boncath 'Buzzard').

Anyway, you didn't last long, as dad did not appreciate being rumbled at and feeling unable to deal with both you and your much larger personality. You spent the next few weeks in a little pen wedged between two lots of lady sows until I could have you and your brother neutered at the soonest; the pre-op check and recovery you passed with flying colours and operatic wheeks.
