Every Sunday we'd give our 3 sows (may they all RIP) an entire bunch of parsley or cilantro to split. After we lost all 3 girls within 6 months (they were 8) we never thought we'd have pigs again. But as I've posted before Patrick (our 9 month old Aby) fell into our lap from an inexperienced pig owner who did the bare minimum with him. A week later we got Pepper (a 1 year old smooth coated) at the pet store where he had lived in a cramped aquarium since he was 5 weeks old. (He did get bought but was returned after 3 days because he was too afraid, and then no one wanted him because he was "damaged".) Even though the pet store owner tried desperately to get me to buy a young pig, I knew he needed a second chance. Now we continue the tradition with our successfully paired boars. 20170319_191035.webp20170319_191045.webp 20170319_191100.webp 20170319_191105.webp 20170319_191241.webp 20170319_191247.webp

Aww what a lovely tradition and well done for giving those lucky boys a good home! They look good together!
