The Weird Quirks

I often forget about this til Mourne manages to scratch the heck out of my chest (along with trying to eat my shirt and peeing on me) but I've never cut Mourne's nails. He's around two years old but he still has tiny baby nails. The vet has seen them and sees no need to clip them and at this point I'm too nervous to because what if that actually makes them start growing?! He's got all black nails!

So instead I just get baby nails on a two year old guinea pig scrabbling on my chest.

There's gotta be more like Mourne with some weird quirks out there. Right?

Awww mr baby nails Bruno has a quirk which isnt quite nails, hes just very loud. When he wakes up he always announces it, we call it sirening, if theres weeee weeee weee WOOOOOO happening, Bruno woke up every time without fail

Pino doesn't really have baby nails any more but his nails are incredibly sharp. When I take the top off and hope that the nails aren't so sharp any more without the tips ... they are sharp again in no time.
But Pino needs his sharp nails when running at full speed. So maybe he sharpens them in secret.

I’ve had piggies who loved to nest in their hay but Moses is the first one to model hay structures

Christian was a lovely piggy, who always knew what went on and when. If I was late for breakfast, veggie dindins or his precious Metacam even by a minute he would let me know!

Despite me learning that he's supposed to hate it, Sir George has always liked his rear end held. If you don't do it he will back himself up against you!

My piggy Carson is around 1yr 10mos (more or less) and he also has like baby toe nails. I usually just cut the small tip of the nails because it's too sharp haha. He's good with me cutting his nails, but he squeeks every time he hears the clip sound of the nail clippers (I use the human nail clippers coz it's easier, especially his nails being tiny). He complains with all the squeeky tiny noise he makes, but he's so much easier compared to Bodie who would usually try to bite me as much as possible. Also, Carson is classed as an adult now but he still looks like he has a tiny head. His whole body is big but he has tiny head!

Bodie's quirks, every time we give them treats, especially at the other side of the room, he would always have a stop over to have a pellet or hay or whatever food is on the way before he goes to us for treats. He also would always rely on Carson shouting loudly for treats, because he's always happy just continuously eating hay wherever he lies down. I haven't heard him wheek for treats/food since we adopted Carson. If he's in a mood, all their cardboard boxes would be tipped over. There would be times that hubby and I are out for the day and we return on all the boxes upside down because Bodie threw a fit for some reason!
