The Wheaky Beans herd

Glad there’s no cancer - that must be a relief for you.
Is the inflammation being treated ?
The vet hasn't ruled it out completely, just that there's none in the tiny sample they took but hopefully there's none whatsoever! They don't know whether it's a traumatised fatty lump, inflammation of the subcutaneous fat or a foreign body reaction so no treatment has been offered, only to remove the lump if it gets bigger or more appear

How fast another year has flown by and wishing all our piggie pals a happy and healthy 2025!

Macchiato is still standing strong after a myriad of health issues these last couple of years (at the ripe old age of 3 and a half now...seriously, it is a miracle she is still alive but she is still her bouncy self with the help of some daily syringe feeding for an up and down gut after all her operations). Thank you Emeraid food powder, she wouldn't be here without you!

Cappuccino is booked in for an update scan of her ovarian cysts next week to see if she'll need them removed - wish us luck

🍀🍀🍀

Then at 11.35pm on New Year's Eve, Espresso decided she wanted some attention and managed to give herself a horrid hay poke which left pig mum applying eye drops as the countdown to 2025 commenced! Fortunately, her eye seems to be healing well so far.

Despite the ups and downs, we're hoping for a more settled year with lots of grass time, memories and funny pig moments :luv:

Cappuccino the Franken-pig is still growing back her fur after getting a butt mullet during her spay earlier this year! 🙈

Thankfully she has made a full recovery despite a rocky period. It is incredible how fast guinea pigs’ bodies heal - her stitches are almost gone now.

Pig mum is off on holiday soon so hoping for a stress free break from all her daily duties and no health hiccups while she’s away. Our trusty petsitter while have to answer their demands for food twice a day especially Princess Macchiato who’s on painkiller and extra top up feed and gnaws the cage bars until she gets what she wants!
