Thea was at the vets this morning.

That's so well written.I'm so glad you checked the ingredients and from doing that never gave it to lovely thea.I do think you should get a full refund too and they really need to train their vets properly x

You learn so much on here!

I would've just given the medicine without even checking it, trusting the vet as I would my own GP.

(p.s. Is this why Miss Bramble doesn't appear to be lurking around the forum as much? Is she busy doing unpleasant things to the vets?)

It is always worth checking any medicines you bring home as mistakes can happen; this mistake was just clicking not neatly on the wanted medication and instead catching adjoining one on the list. It is a very easy mistake for busy people to make. ;)

Unfortunately, it wasn't even that. The vet suggested Synulox straight away. I questioned why not Baytril? and she answered that Synulox was more palatable than Baytril.

Got it in one! She went, along with Misty, as pawholder to Thea.

Miss Bramble is now back in the office having helped me, along with my friend, write the email to the vet.

You Slaves have been warned ........

And if you look very carefully, you'll see Miss Bramble holding a tiny sniper rifle, for those who don't wish Thea well.

Gaia, Minerva and I send our love. 😘

(NB: I'm using Gaia and Minerva as piggy body shields)

Glad you are feeling well gorgeous Thea. ❤️
She really is feeling well. She's maintained her weight for the last few days (866g), she's in good spirits and still feisty. She doesn't know she's old or ill old. Thea is just bimbling away doing bimbly piggie stuff.

Bimbly piggies are the best. I like watching Minerva bimble through the kitchen, talking away to herself, then bimble through the hallway searching for any/all of my footwear to chew on... THEN go zooming around the living room whilst screaming before quietly bimbling her way back to Gaia.

She's an odd soul....

Glad the lovely Thea is maintaining her feistiness.
Hope the meds are beginning to kick in and help

I've heard nothing from the Vet Practice. I would've thought that at least I should have got an acknowledgement of my email and "we're looking into what happened" if nothing else. When I phoned on Thursday to enquire how to make a formal complaint and the name of the Practice Manager, I was told that she was next in on Tuesday (which was yesterday).

That’s not good. An acknowledgment should have been sent.

Emails can sometimes slide down the inbox and be missed, especially if the person is away on holiday (its happened to me a few times). Maybe you could get out the basildon bond and send some snail mail 🤗
