I no this is a guineapig forum but id like to share a few photos of my beloved dogs with everyone. Id like you all to meet Bobbi and Lexi, Lexi is the black female Show Type Cocker Spaniel and Bobbi is the Golden Dual Type Cocker Spaniel :) Both 7 Years old but act like Puppys always up to mischief!

Awww i have 2 cockers - a working cocker aged 5 and a dual cocker aged 7 months. Best dogs in the world!

I couldn't live without a cocker now.
 
Me neither! i must admit i prefer them both with there full coats on but Bobbi had to be shaved, as during his walk he decided to dive head first into sticky bud plants and they all became matted into his coat :(

Nice to know i'm not the only one with that problem!

I can handle them getting stuck to their body but its their ears that get horribly matted with those horribly sticky things! I'm forever trimming their ears!

We've had Brandy since he was 2 from a rescue centre and Colin has lived with us from 8 weeks. But we saw him weekly from being 24hours old x
 
We got bobbi at 9 month out of the local paper, the man had allowed his hair to become so overgrown it was matted, on taking him to the groomers she shaved him down and informed us he had fleas, on a trip to the vet he informed us bobbi infact had sarcoptic mange 8... it cost me £300 for baths and treatments. The man we got him off also openly admitted that bobbi then named bob was kept in his crate for up to 12 hours a day while he and his wife worked, on seeing the cage bobbi couldnt stand up or turn around in it. I had to have him at this point! I just wanted to get him out of that situation, after paying the man £300 for him, and loading him into our car my OH let rip, i mean really let rip he told him exactly what we thought of him all the time not knowing that bobbi also had mange under his thick coat! .. I was devastated for bobbi. His skin was flaky, he has bald patches, his ears were crusty and raw, and his skin would bleed :'( .. He is now happy and healthy :-) ... On a more positive note Lexi was from a friend and weve had her from being 10 week old :-) ... X
 
Aww gorgeous doggies. My sister has a cocker called Chammy. She's about 7 or 8 now I think, maybe even older. She's a complete airhead though. When I was last down with them she managed to run into a bramble and get her ear stuck so I had to free her before she could run off again rolleyes. She also has a habit of eating cow pat :)>>> so will get that all stuck in her ears if you're not careful!

My sister got her from a pet shop in Spain, she cost an absolute bomb and stupidly she paid extra to get her "papers" mallethead. A week after we got her the pet shop closed down and moved away and we never got said paper work and the puppy turned out to have parvovirus! Luckily she made a full recovery after my sister had to throw away all the new beds and toys she'd just got her rolleyes
