We lost Christie a few days ago. It wasn’t unexpected, she was 6 with an underlying issue and we followed our vet’s advice until it was time for her final trip to the surgery.

I’m sad, but in a way I’ve been mourning for a few months now so it feels like a muted sadness.

Anyway, that leaves me with a 6 year old Agatha on her own.

We’ve brought her inside (after very careful planning due to OH’s health). We couldn’t leave her in the shed on her own….,

She’s skittery in her new surroundings, but is eating well.

Her new home is 4ft by 3.5ft, and I’ll sort her out a daytime run extension at the weekend as she’s still very active and loves pottering around her very large outdoor set up.

The thing is I’d like a break from the ‘pig cycle’. I’ve had pigs in various combinations for the last 19 years now. I’ll probably have them again in the future, but atm it’s not the right time to gain a herd again.

There aren’t any rescues near me that offer dating any more. To be fair there aren’t any rescues near me at all now.

Beyond my company, lots of enrichment and some more space is there anything else I can offer my Aggie? She’s such a unique little lunatic and I’m very attached to her!

So sorry that you lost Christie.
Trying to break the piggy cycle isn’t easy, I don’t have any easy answer for you.
Holding you in my heart ♥️

I am so sorry you lost Christie, sending hugs
I don’t have an answer either, only that at some point it will be a decision we will all take through varying circumstances. Aggie is very loved and I would just enjoy your last piggie

Awww, I am so sorry for your loss of Christie. :( Hugs to you, Aggie is very loved and she knows it. She can help you through this rough time.
