Theo defends the herd!

So today we had a man coming round to service the boiler, and the piggies were in the playpen. When the man walked past the girls ran off and hid in their hideys... but not Theo! Theo jumped onto the roof of the carrot house and wheeked and rumbled and got louder and louder until he was really growling... the boiler man looked really nervous and actually asked if we had a dog!
The girls were really impressed with Theo, he's been strutting and popcorning with manly pride and getting lots of female attention all afternoon
Do boars usually try to defend their ladies from big scary predators? Theo normally loves people but he expects anyone who visits us to have a bag of piggy snacks and want to cuddle him!

It depends on whether the boar is leader of the group or not! If he isn't, it is the job of the top sow.

My Terfel, bless him, was a master diplomat, but whenever there was the least sign of danger he left the defence to his formidable three blind cataract wives and hid safely behind them!
