...Wednesday afternoon, minding my own business, when I get a phone call out of the blue. It was my Vet. Two guinea pigs had been left outside the practice on Tuesday night.
They had been looking for someone to take them in, and they thought of me! Were they boys or girls, I asked. They think they are girls (THINK?) . One is ginger and the other is tri-colour.
Do I want to think about it? I thought about it for about a minute! Yes, I will have them! Good thing I never sold the 5 ft cage!
I went and picked them up this morning. I don't know what food they were on, or how old they are, but they sure are pretty!

So please give a big warm GPF welcome to Aspen (crested) and Cedar !

Wow! just WOW! Well they are lovely and it looks (I know you can't go on photos) that they have previously been well cared for, at least physically. I wonder why they were dumped?
Anyhow, they have completely landed on their feet, and it's lively that the vet thought of you :)

What a shame someone left them like that, but so glad they're in good hands now :) What pretty ladies :love:

Welcome Aspen and Cedar  Aren't they gorgeous. Can't believe someone dumped them. They have landed firmly on their paws with you

Aww it's lovely that you took them in! :D
Who could dump such gorgeous piggies  I don't understand it:(

What a lovely thing for you to do! Well done, big heart x

Gorgeous, lucky little piggies, landing on their feet finding such a good mummy to take them home!

Awwwwww. That's so lovely. I'm on glad they thought of you first! X

:DAspen and Cedar have really settled in now. I have even seen pop-corning and rumble-strutting- both from Aspen! They have such different personalities! Aspen is the more confident of the two, comes out into the open more often, likes a cuddle, settles down on the lap after having a look around. Aspen will allow me to stroke her while in the cage. Cedar more nervous runs and hides when I approach, sat very still on my lap this afternoon. Though not babies, they are still quite young; their nails have not been cut. Obviously been handled well and are used to it. Beautiful smooth glossy coats so someone must have loved them- for a while!
