Cuddlepigs
Hello, my first post here.
When I first got my two girlies in March I had read up on food and tried to make their diet as varied as possible so they wouldn't get stuck on favourite foods. It's worked and they loved lots of different things, the particular favourites being coriander and kale and Bob Martins hay
It's a double edged sword though, because many of their favourite foods are MY favourite veggies as well and I cannot go near a cucumber without being seriously shouted at and one or both of them climbing up on top of the their rody igloos to glare at me through the cage bars.
They live inside with me in my bedsit chalet flat (I call it a palatial shed as it is pretty much that!). I let them out for two hours floortime each day without fail. I bought these wonderful puppy pen panels from Ebay which cordon off the bits where I don't want them to go. It's quite a nice challenge for me to plan a bit of variety for them so them have new bits to explore safely.
My two girls are called Megan and Loulou. I don't have a camera at the moment so pics are not possible. Sorry. Megan is tan/white and agouti and Loulou is white and agouti. Meg is boss but only because Lou is smaller. I believe that Lou has the brains of the operation and is planning world domination from beneath the log bridge. ;D
So that's me and them. They are now five months old and I am besotted with them and talk to them all the time as they are my only company. I used to be a vet nurse with a phobia of rodents and bought pet rats to help me get over it. Bless them, the rats are long gone :'( so now tis time for guinea pigs. I never realised that rodents have such personalities, they make me laugh so much! Esp when they throw the food they don't want across the cage!
Right I am rambling now so must stop! Nice to meet you all and I am glad to be here.
Much love
Wendy
