So Casran and Jemima are really loving the new run now ... galloping and frolicking in all the space.

The only prob is, no matter how long I leave them in it they get really upset when it's time to come out.

When I pick them up, they don't want a warm loving hug on the way back to the hutch but kick and squeal angrily at me.

AND look at me like I'm the devil.

:hb:

Oh dear :xd: You're not alone. You can join my club 'they want to plot a terrorist attack on me when I take them out the run'
My girls do that as well, they squeak like they're being murder, it's like chasing a little rocket!

Aww bless them! I know what you mean. I leave the carriers in the runs now for my lot. Unless it starts raining or suddenly gets cold or dark they take themselves into the carriers when they've had enough :)

Oh I love it when they squeal like they are trying to alert all the neighbours that they are living with an animal abuser!

I find myself calling randomly to anyone who might be in their gardens: "It's okay, just an angry piggy being taken out of their favourite run. Nothing to see here."

Oh that's a nice idea. I think Jemima might stand headbutting it tho. She likes to headbutt stuff that she a) doesn't like or b) feels is in her way (including my face).

Hahah! My guys are well trained at taking themselves into their carriers when they have had enough. I just shut the door and carry them back to bed :P

Sounds great. Do you want to come and do some piggy training at my house? My pair of wild, fugitives could do with some schooling!

Lol I think they're trying to get you into trouble! XD

Mine protest like mad when you pick them up, but sit down with them and they scuttle to snuggle under my chin or sit on my shoulder and wedge themselves between my neck and the sofa top. They will sit there quite happily and they will eat if given some greens to nibble or I get occasional piggy licks. Then if I try and pick them up again to go back in their cage it's teeth chattering and squeaks. Carry them back and as soon as they realise it's back to cage my fingers get little nibbles - you know the warning ones and they start to wheek. This gets louder the nearer I get to their cage. Even as I lift them in I get nibbled. As soon as they are back in they dive for the hay. I count to 30 and out they come charging around the cage popcorning and chattering away. Make your flipping minds up, are you happy or not happy! Contrary little fur balls!

Tee hee... I think they see it as one of their god-given prince or princess rights to be fickle and capricious! x

I do the same as flutterby with the carrier. When you go to get them just take everything else out of the run except the carrier and they will just hop straight in.

I also transport with the carrier. I have two extremely vocal girls in my group who let the whole street know what an awful piggy mum I am when it's time to go back inside!

My two protest like mad at being put outside in the run and are really hard to catch, then they don't want to go back inside to their cage. A few days ago I tried the carrier, put it in the cage, they just jumped in, in the run they just jumped straight out, in the evening I put it in the run they just jumped in - magic, it's like they've always done it that way.
