I had just gotten back from my driving lesson and my boyfriend said to me: the piggies are funny creatures.

We let our Piggies run free in the garden. Supervised. So the boyfriend was saying: once something startles them they run back into the shed and won't come out. Some time passed and he went to close the door as he thought they had had enough for the day. Maple popped her head out saw Robert and ran into the garden. He looked through the window the other four saw him and out they went.

I see it as a compliment and makes it true that all animals recognise their owners or parents :D I love the fact that they trust us enough to be reassured it's okay to go out again!

Ahhhh makes me love them even more!!

I just want to cuddle them all now!

Awwwww! That's really nice, gives you a warm feeling inside. Piggies do recognise their hoomans :)

:)) All part of the Hooman training... ;) xx

They certainly recognise us! They also know when the car pulls onto the drive that my OH is coming home...
They love sitting on me more than her but if she has the other pig of the pair then you can see the conflict on their wee faces... 'favourite mummy or favourite piggy buddy..... who do I choose?!'

They go boarding when we away on holiday and when we come to pick them up they just look at us and return to their food as if to say 'whee like it here, why did you bother coming back?' We take that as a good indication of how settled they are when they are there :)

Mainly they love the person with veggies most - mercenary little !:p

not only will they recognise you. if you have a pig like Rocky who bonds very hard to one particular person (my other half in this case) he will sulk none stop when she goes away until she comes back!

My Rory was looked after by my piggy loving parents during our 3 week honeymoon. The entire time he would NOT let them cuddle him (unless food was present). Apparently he'd just nibble and nibble til they put him back. The minute he was back in my arms he snuggled down for a snooze. My mum was infuriated - "we took care of you for three weeks and not one cuddle!"
